292 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the financial assistance, if any, he has allocated for the provision of a national rowing centre; and the decision, if any, made in relation to where this centre will be located. [6228/98]
An application for funding under the sports capital programme was received in my Department from the Irish Amateur Rowing Union in February 1998 and will be considered when the grant allocations are being made for the coming year in accordance with the criteria for awarding such grants as set out in the terms and conditions of the programme.
