291 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the arrangements, if any, in place in his Department and in any State agency or body under his control to encourage or enforce the reuse or recycling of paper and, in particular, of envelopes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As a member of the interdepartmental network established by the Department of the Environment and Local Government to support and promote the development of green housekeeping across the Civil Service, my Department is addressing the implementation of the recommendations in the Green Government Guide on the use of recycled paper.
The recycling of paper in the bodies under the aegis of my Department is a day-to-day matter for the agencies themselves.
