95 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo, who made an application under the Leader scheme on 18 June 1995, did not receive an acknowledgement; the reason an official has not called to see her; the reason she has had no response; and the position with her application. The Leader programme is administered at local level by approved groups which have decision making authority in relation to grant aiding eligible projects within their operational areas. The approved groups have full responsibility for evaluating and processing applications for grant-aid from project promoters and the applicant should contact the local group in relation to the application submitted.
