161 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has sanctioned funding for the augmentation of the Westport water supply from Srah, Tourmakeady; and, if not, when funding will be available. [6818/98]
The Westport water supply scheme extension from Castlebar, which will provide an extra 400,000 gallons of water per day to Westport, is substantially complete. The local authority has been asked to reexamine its proposals for the scheme from Srah in the light of the additional supply becoming available from the extension scheme referred to.
