262 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the final payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny under the 1997 suckler cow premium scheme in view of the fact that the payment is overdue and all details have been submitted following a reply to Parliamentary Question No. 64 of 5 March 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The area aid application for the person concerned has been fully processed and cleared for payment. Any outstanding payments should issue in the near future.

Under the terms and conditions of the 1993 ewe premium and sheep headage schemes applicants or their agents were required to present their flocks on the day notified for inspection. As the persons named did not meet this requirment they were deemed ineligible for payment under the schemes.
