142 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will outline the works to be carried out, the total amount of the allocation approved and when works will be completed in relation to a school (details supplied) in County Wexford. [10282/98]
My Department has given clearance to the school to which the Deputy refers to organise the execution of a programme of refurbishment works during the summer of 1998. The project is being handled by the school's consultant architect. It includes window replacement, additional sanitary facilities, refurbishment to the electrical and heating system and works to comply with fire safety requirements. The project is at tender stage and it is not appropriate for me to publicise details of estimated costs at this stage.
