193 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid the remainder of his 1997 suckler cow scheme grants and the outstanding payments in relation to his horses. [11730/98]
The following payments have issued to the person named: £560.92, cheque dated 14 May 1998 for balance of 1997 suckler cow; £140, cheque dated 13 May 1998 for 1997 equine headage.
194 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in having outstanding payments under the 1997 area aid scheme made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [11731/98]
The person concerned submitted one ten month special beef premium application on 27 November 1997 in respect of 11 animals. Nine of these animals have been cleared for payment whilst the remaining two are awaiting registration of their births on the Bandon database. However an incorrect forage area was credited to this herdowner. The forage area has now been amended to reflect the correct position and it is expected that a 90 per cent payment in respect of the nine qualified animals will issue within the next week.
