Vol. 491 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Admissions.

Willie Penrose

Ceist:

76 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made to have a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath admitted to a hospital immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12480/98]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
