225 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation when funding will be sanctioned and paid to a sports complex (details supplied) in County Mayo as promised in view of the fact that local basketball club cannot compete in the superleague due to the lack of proper facilities. A grant of £400,000 was allocated to the committee of the proposed sports centre in 1994. The documents prepared for tender for the centre were recently received in my Department. These are currently being examined by my Department's technical advisers and when this examination is completed and the plans and documents found to be in order, tenders can be invited for the centre.
