Vol. 492 No. 4

Written Answers. - Passport Applications.

Jack Wall

Ceist:

114 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kildare has not been issued with a passport. [14304/98]

It has not been possible for the Passport Office, from the limited details provided by the Deputy, to trace the application of the person he was named. There is no delay in processing applications. If the Deputy gives me the child's date of birth and some information about when and how the application was made, I will have the matter investigated. If there is a difficulty about getting the consent of all the child's legal guardians or all the documentation required by the Passport Office, perhaps the Deputy would let me have the details.
