Ceist:233 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his REP scheme third year payment in view of the fact that it is six months overdue. [16127/98]

This application was subject to a detailed plan examination and on-farm inspection, which took place last month. The REPS plan was found to contain a number of deficiencies which need to be rectified in a revised agri-environmental plan. My Department is writing to the person named to inform him of this. His REPS planner is also being written to outlining the deficiencies involved and requesting that a revised agri-environmental plan be submitted.
