Ceist:453 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide funds to a school (details supplied) in Dublin 5 to construct a security fence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16024/98]

In March 1998, my Department sanctioned grant assistance of £13,013.61 towards the provision of a security fence at the school to which the Deputy refers. This project is being overseen by the school's own architect.
No further correspondence has been received from the school on this matter. However, on receipt of certificates from the architect in relation to completion of the project, grant assistance will be paid.
