Ceist:211 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has to extend the completion date for projects under the seaside resort scheme from June 1999 to January 2000. [18264/98]
Written Answers - Tax Incentives.
The seaside resort scheme was introduced with effect from 1 July 1995 for three years on a pilot basis. The qualifying period was extended in the Finance Act, 1998 for a further year to 30 June 1999 for pipeline projects. The seaside resort scheme is currently being reviewed by officials from my Department, the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation and the Revenue Commissioners. Any further decision regarding the scheme will have to take into consideration the findings of this review.
