Written Answers - Drug Treatment Services.

Ceist:

212 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the drug treatment services provided by the various health boards for those between 12 and 16 years of age; the numbers currently being treated in each category in each health board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18145/98]

Based on clinical judgment appropriate treatment and care are provided to young people in the 12 to 16 year age group who present with drug misuse problems. Drug misuse services are generally provided through out-patient counselling and a range of psychiatric and psychological services.
