Ceist:430 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the funds, if any, in place to finance the construction of phase II of Mayo general hospital; and, if not, when funds will be put in place and the contractor appointed to oversee the construction and completion of this phase. [21450/98]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 429 and 430 together.
The Western Health Board has submitted a report on the tenders for the construction of the phase II development at Mayo general hospital to my Department. This report is currently being considered. Capital funding will be provided as required during the course of the work on the development.
