479 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will create new training places for graduates trying to gain entry into the Academy for Medical Laboratory Scientists; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21933/98]
My Department has met with the Academy for Medical Laboratory Scientists in recent months to discuss the possibility of creating new training posts for medical laboratory technicians. Discussions have since been on-going with relevant health agencies with a view to creating such new posts.
