239 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps, if any, he has taken to ensure that all medical surgeries are accessible to people with disabilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26481/98]
Financial support for medical surgery premises development is provided under the indicative drug target savings scheme, the general practice development fund and the general practice capital fund. Where possible, such developments include provision for accessibility by people with disabilities. The provision of such access in new premises is a requirement.
