206 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps, if any, he will take to ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Meath is admitted immediately for a critical operation to Crumlin hospital, Dublin 12; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27018/98]

The provision of medical treatment in this case is the statutory responsibility of the hospital concerned. I have asked the secretary manager of Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
