Vol. 498 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

168 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an agri-tourism grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [27697/98]

The grant in this case was paid on 14 December.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

169 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon. [27213/98]

The area aid application of the person concerned has not yet been fully processed due to a query regarding maps. The area aid unit has written to the person in connection with the matter.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

171 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food further to Parliamentary Question No. 187 of 11 November 1998 the difficulties referred to in respect of an area aid application for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [27215/98]

The area aid application of the person named is being finalised. When this has been completed any outstanding payments due will issue as soon as possible.

Paul McGrath

Ceist:

172 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if an application for installation aid was received from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath prior to the closing of application for this scheme in 1997; and the status, timescale and procedure for the processing of this application. [27216/98]

I understand an application for installation aid was submitted to Teagasc in this case under the 1986 to 1990 scheme.

My information is that completion of the assessment of the application by Teagasc has not been possible due to the absence of relevant documentation including a deed of transfer and Land Registry folios.

Paul McGrath

Ceist:

173 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will investigate the status of an application for grant aid by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath under the dairy hygiene scheme in view of the fact that the work has been completed and inspected since August 1998; and if payment of this grant aid will be expedited. [27217/98]

The grant in this case was paid on 3 December.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

174 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason area aid has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the reason his Department maintains that the person had over-claimed in view of the fact he has submitted documentation in order to disprove this. [27218/98]

The area aid application from the person named has been processed and payment has issued in respect of cattle headage, suckler cow premium and special beef premium. Further maps subsequently submitted are being examined and any modifications in this person's position will be validated.
