Ceist:63 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has raised with the Chinese Government the prosecution of Lin Hai for distributing e-mail addresses. [27740/98]
Written Answers. - Prosecution of Chinese National.
The Government views with concern the prosecution of the individual mentioned. The forum employed for raising matters of this nature with the Chinese authorities is the EU-China Human Rights Dialogue, meetings of which are held regularly. The next meeting of the dialogue is expected to take place in Germany next February. The Government will propose to its EU partners that the case of Lin Hai be raised with the Chinese at that meeting.
