Ceist:75 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will give details of any millennium projects which his Department will sponsor and assist. [27755/98]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 62 and 75 together.
Any decision made by the Department on the sponsoring of studies on the contribution of the Irish diaspora in the millennium context would be taken in conjunction with the National Millennium Committee established within the Department of the Taoiseach, which is co-ordinating the response to applications for such projects.
Applications received in the Department of Foreign Affairs for projects connected with the millennium will go for consideration to that committee.
