There is no record of an application for carer's allowance having been received by my Department from the person concerned. At present she is in receipt of a pre-retirement allowance with effect from 15 October 1998 at a reduced weekly rate of £21.50 per week, including a fuel allowance of £5.
An application form for carer's allowance has been issued to the person concerned for completion and her entitlement to the allowance will be examined immediately on receipt.
