71 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence when the next recruiting for the PDF will commence in 1999; when people will be invited to make application; when the training of these recruits will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2366/99]

In accordance with the Governments policy of continuous recruitment to the Defence Forces, it is proposed to commence the 1999 recruitment campaign shortly.
