106 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the need for a roads emergency repair programme following the inclement weather conditions; if he will make the necessary funds available to the local authorities to facilitate the carrying out of this work; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 127 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if emergency funding will be made available to deal with the serious deterioration in the condition of county roads resulting from the prolonged bad weather. [2397/99]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 106 and 127 together.
I intend that non-national road grant allocations for 1999, which I will announce shortly, will provide for the ongoing and developmental needs of all road authorities.
