Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

235 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be called to St. Vincent's Hospital public patients' clinic for a knee operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2435/99]

The question of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of St. Vincent's Hospital. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.

Gerry Reynolds

Ceist:

236 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be called for surgery to Cappagh Hospital, Dublin 11. [2463/99]

The provision of medical treatment in this case is the responsibility of the voluntary hospital concerned. I have asked the chief executive of the hospital concerned to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

237 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 92 of 17 June 1998 the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny was not called for appointment in December 1998 as stated; if his Department will investigate the case and insist on an early appointment; and the reason this person was recently given an appointment for June 1999. [2478/99]

The provision of hospital services to eligible persons in County Kilkenny in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
