Vol. 500 No. 7

Written Answers. - Hospital Funding.

Michael Ahern

Ceist:

314 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Health and Children the funding provided to Mallow General Hospital, County Cork, for each of the years from 1993 to date in respect of capital items and extra staff allocated. [5195/99]

The funding and additional staffing provided to Mallow General Hospital is outlined below. Provision has been made this year for the re-opening of beds in the refurbished medical ward. I understand that the Sourthern Health Board is making arrangements for the recruitment of the necessary nursing and support staff to enable these beds to be opened as soon as possible.
