318 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the CAT scan capacity at Waterford Regional Hospital; the number of days that the CAT scan capacity was not operational; the proposals, if any, to extend the CAT scan at the hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5240/99]

The provision of hospital services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly.
