174 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details provided) in County Cork who has forwarded all necessary documentation including a tax clearance certificate will be paid 1998 ten month beef premia. [6764/99]
The person named submitted a ten month application for special beef premium in respect of 20 animals in February 1998. However, one of the tag numbers listed by the person named on the beef premium application was also listed by the person named on a 1998 suckler cow premium application. Payment was delayed until it could be established if the animal in question is, in fact, a male and therefore eligible for special beef premium. This query has now been resolved and the advance payment, in respect of 20 animals, is expected to issue within the next 14 days.
