Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Gerry Reynolds

Ceist:

366 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be called for urgent treatment in Sligo General Hospital. [10006/99]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons living in County Leitrim is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

Conor Lenihan

Ceist:

367 Mr. C. Lenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delays experienced by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 while awaiting treatment at the Tallaght Hospital and the failure to give an adequate response to date. [10011/99]

The provision of treatment in this case, in the first instance is the responsibility of the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, Dublin, incorporating the National Children's Hospital. I have therefore written to the hospital and asked that this matter be investigated and a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
