408 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if contract documents for the Crossmolina sewerage treatment plant, County Mayo have been examined and approved by his Department; and if approval will be given for commencement of the scheme in 1999. [10234/99]
This scheme is included in my Department's 1999 water and sewerage services investment programme as a scheme to start construction. Contract documents for civil and mechanical elements of the scheme have been submitted to my Department, but a certificate of completion of planning is awaited from the local authority before examination of the documentation can be finalised.
