As the board of management is deemed to be the employer, the signing and agreement of a contract is a matter between the board of management and the teacher concerned. My Department is not a party to the contract and does not maintain records of such a contract.

Ceist:604 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the ongoing shortage of teachers in St. Mary's central school, Killencullen, County Tipperary; if the matter will be resolved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10282/99]
As the officials of my Department have been unable to trace the school at the name and
address stated, I would ask the Deputy to revert to me with the roll number of the school so that the matter of staffing may then be examined.
