Vol. 503 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

605 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if the application for new perimeter railings from St. Canice's boys' school, Finglas, Dublin 11 will be prioritised in view of the many anti-social problems the school is encountering; the current status of the application; when a decision will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10302/99]

Substantial planning work has been necessary for the proposed palisade fencing of the St. Canice's boys school, Finglas, Dublin 11, and a number of other schools in the area. This work has now reached an advanced stage.

When all the planning work has been completed, a decision on the tender and contract processes will be taken.
