147 Ms Clune asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the provisions or proposals, if any, she will introduce to mark the UN year of the elderly; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10162/99]

A sum of £100,000 – 127,000 – has been provided under subhead X2 of my Department's Vote to be allocated in respect of programmes for the year of the older person. I am currently considering how these funds will be disbursed.
