Vol. 503 No. 3

Written Answers. - Local Development Agencies.

John Perry

Ceist:

146 Mr. Perry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if her attention has been drawn to problems encountered by a company (details supplied) in County Sligo in its dealing with the local development agencies; if the difficulties will be examined; if she will rectify the problems; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10040/99]

The provision of supports to industry is a day to day matter for Enterprise Ireland under the Industrial Development Acts, 1986-1998 and one in which I have no direct function.

However, as the issues raised by the Deputy concern the quality of service provided by the agency I have taken up the matter with its chief executive and am currently awaiting his report. I will write to the Deputy in the matter as soon as possible.
