Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Rural Environment Protection Scheme.

John Perry

Ceist:

278 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if all outstanding difficulties on a REP scheme plan will be resolved for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; if payment will be released immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17528/99]

John Perry

Ceist:

279 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if all outstanding difficulties on a REP scheme plan will be resolved for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; if payment will be released immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17529/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 278 and 279 together.

Having examined the matter, my Department is of the opinion that the holdings in question cannot be considered to be separate holdings for the purposes of the REP scheme.

My Department has written to the persons concerned and has advised that it will be necessary for them to submit an amended plan in joint names.

No further payments can be made until the amended plan is received.
