602 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the situation in relation to special educational needs for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21355/99]
The child to whom the Deputy refers is currently receiving special tuition support from a resource teacher who has been appointed to serve a number of special needs children in the area in question.
My Department's inspectorate is currently examining the case for additional teaching support for the school which the child in question attends. Officials of my Department will be in contact with the school regarding this matter in the very near future.
