Ceist:142 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Defence if the military service allowance included as part of reckonable income for superannuation purposes for personnel retiring on or after 1 August 1990 will also be included for pension purposes for military personnel retired before this date, given the Gleeson Commission's intention that the pensioning of this allowance be both retrospective and prospective and the huge anomaly created by the cut-off date of 1 August 1990, whereby those who retired prior to this date are in receipt of a significantly lower pension than those who retired after this date with the same rank and service.
