Ireland is committed to limit the growth in greenhouse gas emissions to 13% above 1990 levels by 2010. While agriculture emissions are well within this growth limit, my Department, through the expert group established last year, is considering a range of policy options to achieve reductions in greenhouse gases in an equitable manner while continuing to support economic growth.
