Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
After processing of the 1999 area aid application of the person named, it was determined that one of the parcels of land which he is claiming as forage land is also being claimed by another herdowner as commonage. The person named has been written to, and requested to forward additional documentation, to enable the area aid unit to investigate the matter further. No payments can issue until the matter has been resolved.

Ceist:203 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a sheep subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [22729/99]
The person named applied for grants on 140 sheep under the 1999 sheep headage scheme.
Payment was made on 114 sheep on 26 October 1999. This payment in respect of 114 sheep was due to an inadvertent link with the number of quota rights he held under the 1999 ewe premium scheme, which was also 114. As this person is also a participant under the REP scheme and as the number of sheep he is allowed to carry under his REPS plan is 153, he will be due a balancing payment on an extra 26 sheep. This payment will be made shortly.

Ceist:204 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Galway applying under the REP scheme has been refused payment under supplementary measure six regarding organic farming in spite of the fact that she was registered as in-conversion on the date prior to the issue of Circular 20/98 of 28 April 1998. [22730/99]
The applicant concerned was registered as in-conversion and her application was received in the Department on 28 April 1998.
This application is being further examined by my Department and a final decision on this case will issue to the person named directly.
