310 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of vehicles with breakdown of categories registered on 1 January for each of the years from 1997 to 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22618/99]
I assume the Deputy is referring to motor vehicle licensing. The following tabular statement provides details of the number of vehicles broken down by motor taxation class under current licence at 31 December 1996, 1997 and 1998 which are the reference dates nearest 1 January requested by the Deputy.
