64 Ms Coughlan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will provide farmers with an information pack outlining the expected rates of premium payments to be payable in 2000 on weanlings, steers, adult steers, heifers, cows and bulls arising from the outcome of Agenda 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has already held information sessions for Teagasc on Agenda 2000 and is planning information seminars for farmers to be held throughout the country in the coming weeks.
My Department is also making arrangements for production of a booklet which will be issued to all registered herdowners later this year. The booklet will give details of amounts payable under Agenda 2000 for the various premium schemes for bovine animals and general information on how to avail of the schemes.
