397 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science when his Department will pay a grant sanctioned and approved for the past year to Gort community school, Gort, County Galway, for the provision of much needed facilities and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23484/99]
A grant towards the development of sports facilities at Gort community school, that was sanctioned some time ago and which was subject to completion of the purchase of the site, will be paid shortly. Officials of my Department were awaiting receipt of certain documentation from the contractor that has now been received.
