105 Mr. Stanton asked the Taoiseach the status of contingency plans in relation to the Y2K computer problems in the event of a systems failure in his Department and all agencies under his aegis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25435/99]
My Department has prepared contingency plans to ensure business continuity in the event of Year 2000 problems arising. These plans were approved by management and also recently underwent external audit. Major issues were not identified.
In respect of the bodies under the aegis of my Department, all plans have been drawn up, are in place and have undergone an audit. Major issues were not identified.
