245 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position and immediate proposals in respect of the provision of the extra facilities at St. Mary's College, Naas, County Kildare; the progress in relation to this project in the past 12 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department's planning and building unit informed the school authorities on 18 October 1999 that there was no objection to the acceptance of a tender for the proposed extension to St. Mary's College, Naas, County Kildare.
246 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the provision of the extra facilities required at St. Patrick's post-primary school, Naas, County Kildare; the progress in relation to this project in the past 12 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department's planning and building unit issued a letter to County Kildare VEC on 19 November 1999 requesting the stage 1 site suitability, submission. A response is currently awaited.
As soon as this information is to hand the matter will receive further attention.
