73 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when full title will be cleared in respect of a dwelling and farmyard purchased in 1984 by a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2887/00]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application to discharge equities. The person named by the Deputy is registered as full owner with a possessory title of property comprised in Folio 29466F County Kildare. This folio was opened on foot of a vesting by the Land Commission dated 17 September 1997 and registration was completed on 10 August 1998. An application to convert title from possessory to absolute was lodged on 18 November 1999.
I am further informed that the Land Registry reference is D99KW1 1965Y and that the application is currently with the chief examiner of titles who will shortly be issuing a query to the lodging solicitor. The application cannot proceed until this query has been satisfactorily resolved. Accordingly, it is not possible at this time to estimate a completion date.
However, on receipt of a satisfactory response from the lodging solicitor involved, the matter will be completed by the Land Registry without delay.
