Ceist:

314 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of public and private patients for whom elective treatment was provided in 1999 by Beaumont Hospital and the Mater Hospital, giving details of the admissions by speciality. [3448/00]

The information requested by the Deputy is not yet available in my Department. However, I have asked the chief executive officers of both hospitals to collate the information and respond directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
