94 Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has received a report on the inquest into the death of a person (details supplied) in London; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4398/00]
The inquest into the death of the person in question began on 31 January at Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court and is expected to continue into next week. The Embassy in London is monitoring proceedings. Embassy officials have attended the inquest on a number of occasions and have reported to me as appropriate. So far, the inquest has heard mainly the evidence of the police officers involved in the operation in the course of which the person referred to was killed. I understand that the remainder of the inquest will concentrate on the evidence of forensic and technical experts.
