Ceist:286 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Land Registry Office will expedite the issue of a duplicate land certificate for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [5158/00]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application referred to by the Deputy in relation to a duplicate land certificate was lodged on 8 December 1999. Queries issued on 18 February 2000 to the applicant's solicitors and the Land Registry await a reply to same. Accordingly this application cannot proceed until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved.
I am further informed that this application is associated with dealing D1999SM001366E which is an application for registration lodged on 19 February 1999. I am advised that completion of this application is dependent on progress in relation to the application for the duplicate land certificate.
I assure the Deputy, however, that on receipt of a satisfactory response and on completion of both applications, a duplicate land certificate will issue to the lodging solicitors without delay.
