Vol. 515 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

131 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if documents presented in person to the area aid unit for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo have been processed; the total forage area on this application following amendments to the digitisation; and when payments will issue in this case. [5831/00]

(Mr. Walsh): The maps which the person named recently presented to the area aid unit have not been entered on to the Department's electronic database. The total forage area on his application is 27.35 hectares, and the application is now clear for payment purposes on this area.
The person named was paid his full entitlement of £232 under the 1999 cattle headage scheme on the 23 February 2000 and will also be paid his 1999 suckler cow premium within the next seven days.

Willie Penrose

Ceist:

132 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if the case of a person (details supplied) in County Longford will be fully examined with a view to the full rate of grant under the farm development scheme being paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5833/00]

The person con cerned was paid a grant of £10,015 under the 1994-99 control of farm pollution scheme in respect of a slatted house and ancillary works on 12 January 1999. This amount was calculated on the basis of the standard national costings in operation at the date of approval of the grant. The costings and measurements of the buildings have been rechecked and my Department is satisfied that there is no further grant due under the scheme.
