Ceist:

172 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, he has to decentralise a Government Department or a State agency to Tramore, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6016/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 170 to 172, inclusive, together.

I am currently in the process of consulting my Government colleagues with a view to taking decisions on a significant decentralisation programme by the summer. With the exception of a small number of decisions which had to be taken in the context of the construction of Stadium Ireland and Sports Campus Ireland and the preparation of the White Paper on Defence, no decisions have yet been taken about the Departments or offices which will feature in the programme or the centres to which they will be relocated.

There are, therefore, no specific proposals at this stage to decentralise particular Government Departments or offices to particular locations.
